Luke Slott began learning music from his father, a regular trumpet player on the Irish jazz scene, and went on to study classical piano at the Royal Irish Academy of Music.
Having won the Heineken Green Energy Band Challenge and signed a major record deal at the tender age of 18, Slott spent several years touring Ireland and the UK as lead singer with rock band Melaton.

In 2009 and 2010, Slott recorded and released two albums of his original music for solo piano, 'Don't Go Back To Sleep' and 'The Home of Laughter'. He has taken a grassroots approach to promoting his music by wheeling a full-size piano onto Grafton Street, and can often be seen performing in the open air, just a few steps from Bewleys.

2011 sees a return to the world of singing and song-writing for Slott and Friday 6th May marks the beginning of a series of concerts which will showcase both Slott's vocal and instrumental music.
